All scholarships require filling out an application form and are submitted by specific deadline dates. Ask an Academic Advisor for assistance if you need help. Ultimately, students are responsible for ensuring their applications are complete and submitted on time.
All students in their Grade 12 year are eligible. Financial need is the main criteria and students be attending a BC Post Secondary Institution.

Scholarships are available to dependents of personnel of BCEA member companies in good standing, up to a max of two scholarships per Member Company. The Rotary Club of Sooke offers two annual scholarships of $2000 to students graduating from Grade 12 and living in Sooke. The Stewart Youngson Academic Scholarship is for students entering a degree program at a recognized1 university or college. The Faith Jacobson Vocational Scholarship is for students entering a trades or technical program at a recognized college or trade institute. The scholarships are awarded following proof of registration with $1000 paid in the first year and a further $1000 paid on successful completion of first year and on proof of registration in second year. The scholarship must be initiated within 24 months from the time of being awarded.

There are 55 BC Excellence Scholarships available to recognize well-rounded B.C. graduates. Winners will have demonstrated community service, both inside and outside their schools, and shown aptitude and commitment to their chosen career paths. They will receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to use for post-secondary tuition.
For the 2015/16 school year, 3000 top B.C. graduates with the highest cumulative average based on courses required for graduation (both required and elective) are eligible to receive a $1250 scholarship voucher to use towards their post-secondary tuition.

The Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship (PTES) is awarded to 20 outstanding high school graduates who have demonstrated a commitment and aptitude for a career path in K-12 teaching. Each recipient will receive a $5000 scholarship voucher to use towards tuition in their teaching program at a designated BC post-secondary institution.
The Secondary School Apprenticeship (SSA) provides skill development through practical, hands-on work experience.
Students enrolled in these courses go to work and attend high school at the same time. That means they have found an employer who is willing to take them on (and pay them) as an apprentice – at least until their high school graduation. School counsellors may be able to offer help with this step.
Students that are 15 or older can enrol in this program – they must also formally register with the Industry Training Authority as Youth Apprentices. Successful completion of the program earns students 16 credits towards graduation. Some may also qualify for the SSA Scholarship – a $1000 award given to students for sustained and exceptional work as an apprentice.
