The WestShore Aboriginal Education Team commits to work for Aboriginal students in an accountable way in order to nurture, support, mentor and teach students to take pride in their culture, their history and their traditions.
We strive to enrich all students academically by acknowledging, supporting, respecting, honouring and developing their individual potential.

The Sooke District Schools would like to acknowledge the shared traditional territories of the Coast Salish, specifically the Esquimalt Nation and Songhees Nation, on which the schools are built; and the Nations School District 62 works with; Beecher Bay SCIA`NEW Nation, T`Sou-ke Nation, and Nuu-chah-nulth Pacheedaht Nation to the west.
We recognize the territory, the First Nations Peoples, and thank them for sharing this beautiful land.
